Turnipseed Ozone profile Data Instructions Investigator: Andrew Turnipseed, NCAR/ACD turnip@ucar.edu Date: 1/27/2012 Filename: TurnipseedROMBAS_O3.csv (comma delimited) Data Interval: 5 min. averages Initial Start time of file: July 1, 2011, 0:00:00 (MST) Measurements are made from 6 inlets at different heights. Measurements are made from each inlet for 5 min., cycling through all 6 inlets over a 30 min. period. These are denoted in the column labeled "z". Heights are: z1 = 1.5 m z2 = 5.0 m z3 = 8.5 m z4 = 12.0 m z5 = 17.7 m z6 = 25.1 m Missing data = -9999 Columns: Start_sec: Beginning of 5 min. period (seconds since July 1, 2011, 0:00:00 MST) End_sec: End of 5 min. period (seconds since July 1, 2011, 0:00:00 MST) Mid_sec: Midpoint of 5 min. period (seconds since July 1, 2011, 0:00:00 MST) Date: MM/dd/YY, Time: hh:mm:ss, Beginning of 5 min. period (MST) Day of Year: decimal day, Beginning of 5 min. period (MST) O3: Ozone mixing ratio, ppbv z: Inlet height, m Instrumentation: 2B Techonologies Model 205 UV-absorption spectrometer Sampling Notes: Each inlet was sampled for 5 min. (6 inlets - 30 min. for complete profile) starting with the lowest inlet at the beginning of the 30 min. period. Calibrations: The O3 instrument was automatically zeroed every 6 hours using scrubbed zero grade air. It was run side-by-side with in the lab and field with a second ozone monitor both prior to and following the ROMBAS experiment and found to be in excellent agreement.
